         The International Education and Exchange Center (IEEC) at Southern College is a newly established center for broadening and deepening the cooperation and relationship between Southern College and the various partner institutions.

The Missions of IEEC are:

  • to engage and work in close collaboration with International Higher Education Institutions
  • to provide global educational opportunities to Southern College students in order to enhance students'education and learning experiences
  • to provide global academic and research opportunities to the College staff and faculties in order to fulfill professional growth and academic excellence
  • to support the internationalization of the College to become a reputable education provider

        As a driver of the internationalization process, the International Education and Exchange Center at Southern College is actively seeking established international collaborators and partners. The Center is also actively engaging existing partners in order to enhance mutual cooperation and developing valuable exchange programmes. Established with a global perspective, the Center aims to explore and develop educational collaborations and exchange programmes with partner institutions from different continents.

Currently, services offered to students by the Center include:

  • providing student counseling for further and /or overseas education
  • providing reference information with regards to overseas and local higher education institutions
  • arranging talks and seminars on further studies
  • assisting students to apply and enroll into partner institutions
  • arranging credit transfer for students to partner institutions
  • assisting students in other related services

       The Center has close rapport with partner institutions overseas in providing research and professional development opportunities to College staff. Research scholarships are available to interested College staff and faculty members. The Center is receiving invitations from partner institutions on a regular basis for arranging delegates to attend or to participate in academic workshops, seminars and international conferences.

       Southern College has established numerous collaborative arrangements with overseas institutions. Students completing their diploma studies have the opportunities to further their studies abroad with the partner universities. Students may consider and select reputable universities or higher education institutions from People¡¯s Republic of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and USA.
